Dallas "Big Tommy" Guthrie, Jr., 66, of Newport, died Friday, February 13, 2015 at his home.
A memorial service will be held Monday, February 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Pargeter officiating.
Dallas is survived by his wife of 46 years, Susan Guthrie of the home; a son, Dallas T. Guthrie III and fiancee Dawn Bell of Newport; daughters, Cindy Pittman and husband Frankie of Morehead City, and Julia Elliot and husband Dr. Jonathan Sr. of Pensacola, FL; eight grandchildren, Karisha Guthrie of Newport, Jonathan Elliot Jr. of Pensacola, FL, Liza Guthrie of Adams Creek, Kelli Biondo and husband Cory of New Bern, Jacquelyn Elliot of Pensacola, FL, Justin Elliot of Pensacola, Fl, Hank Pittman of Morehead City, and Jackson Elliot of Pensacola, FL; six great-grandchildren, Chasity Guthrie, Dallas Guthrie, Emery Biondo, Savannah Biondo, Phillip Biondo, and Baby Elliot due in Fall of 2015; mother, Sena Guthrie of Morehead City; two sisters, Linda Sadowski of Beaufort, and Marie Guthrie of Morehead City and mother-in-law, Betty Jones.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dallas T. Guthrie, Sr. and father-in-law, Julius Jones.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
