Dallas Dation Golden

Dallas Dation Golden, 74, of Stacy, went home to be with his Lord after a two week illness on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Carteret Health Care.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Stacy Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Laxton officiating.  Interment to follow at Stacy Community Cemetery.

Dallas retired from Marine Corps Air Station Cherry point after 30 years.  Additionally, he was employed by Cannon Boat Works for 14 years and the Carteret County school system for 5 years.  He never met a stranger and will be remembered for always having a smile on his face and a joke or story to tell.  He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Dallas is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lula Mason Golden of the home; daughters, Amanda Conway and husband Bryan of Beaufort, Sherry and Rev. Kevin Stott of Bratt, FL and formerly of Stacy; son, Randy Dallas Golden and wife Diana of Havelock and formerly of Stacy; and six grandchildren, James Golden, Katlyn Golden and boyfriend Cody, Charles Conway, Jessica Conway, Samuel Stott, Benjamin Stott and girlfriend Payton.  He was also looking forward to the birth of his first great-grandbaby that is due to be born in February 2017.

Dallas joined in Glory those that preceded him in death, including his parents Lemuel and Mildred Golden; brother, Richard Lee Golden; uncles, Milton “Boxy” Fulcher, J.C. Fulcher, and Dallas Fulcher.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 Monday, August 15, 2016 at Stacy Free Will Baptist Church.
