Cynthia "Cindy" McGivern

Cynthia “Cindy” McGivern, 62, of Havelock, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Carolina East Medical Center.

A funeral service to honor Cindy’s life will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, February 5th at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Cindy was born on December 12, 1962, in Miami, Florida, to Daniel and Sylvia McGivern. Working as an administration manager in the health care field, Cindy held great responsibility within her position and her contributions and commitment were invaluable.

In her free time, Cindy found joy in exploring her favorite stores, delighting in the thrill of discovering unique items and the latest trends. Her passion for shopping was not just a pastime but a reflection of her vibrant personality.

Cindy's life was defined by her love for family and friends. She will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her for her kindness, warmth, and the special role she played in their lives. Cindy will be remembered as a loving daughter, wonderful sister, caring niece, faithful cousin, proud aunt, and friend to all.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her mother, Sylvia McGivern of Temple City, CA; sister, Patty Hanna of Temple City, CA; brothers, Danny McGivern of Miami, FL, Tim McGivern (Nancy) of Port Charlotte, FL, and Joe McGivern (Danielle) of Sunrise, FL; brother-in-law, Daniel Hanna of Temple City, CA; nieces and nephews, Holly Hanna, Brittany McGivern, Megan McGivern, Tyler McGivern, and Connor McGivern. 

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Daniel McGivern.
