Cris Wilma Piner

Cris Wilma Piner, 88, of Pruitt Health in Beaufort, NC, went Home to be with the Lord on May 28, 2024.

A graveside service to honor Cris’ life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, June 2nd at Carteret Memorial Gardens in Beaufort, officiated by Jay Noe.

Cris was born on July 7, 1935, to William Tyndall Piner and Sunie Piner of Otway, NC. After graduating from Smyrna High School, she was the first in her family to attend college and graduated from The Louise Obici School of Nursing in Suffolk, VA. Her career in the nursing and medical field lasted almost forty years. Patient aid and comfort was of utmost importance to Cris. She was always aware of the emotional as well as physical needs of the people under her care and she has touched many lives over the years. Although no longer here physically, she will never be forgotten.

She is survived by his son, Tyndall Royce Dudley and wife Emily of New Bern and her grandson, William Tyndall Dudley and wife Julie of Wilmington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Tyndall Piner and Sunie Piner; her sister, Cherrie Lee Piner; and her son, Stephen Dudley III.
