Conchita “Connie” Amorante Ussery

Conchita “Connie” Amorante Ussery, 77, of Havelock, passed away Tuesday, March 3­, 2020, at Carolina East Medical Center.

Her funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock, officiated by Father Upah.

Connie was an active member of the Filipino-American Association of Havelock where she was a former president and founding member. She was a faithful employee of Moen in New Bern where she retired from as a Production Supervisor. Connie was a talented seamstress who also loved to garden and will be remembered for always cooking for others. Her family and grandchildren were her true love and pride.

She is survived by her daughters, Christy Maristhella Martin and husband Kevin of Lima, OH, Kathleen Perez-Salinas of Havelock; brothers, Rudy Amorante of Boston, MA, Esteban Amorante Jr. of the Philippines; grandchildren, Jennifer Feeney, Deborah Lee, Nora Ussery, Maristhella Ussery and Adrian Ussery; and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Esteban Amorante and Carmen Meru and grandson, Esteban Ussery.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock.
