Clinton Neal Piner, 89, Davis, passed away on November 30, 2015 at home.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Davis Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Mercer and Rev. Keith Wall officiating. Interment will follow at Sam Easton Murphy Cemetery with military honors.

He was born and raised in Williston until he married the love of his life, Betty Davis and made his home in Davis.  He served in the Navy aboard the USS Ashland from 1944 - 1946.  He was a faithful member, Deacon and Trustee of the Davis Free Will Baptist Church and had a deep faith in the Lord.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He and his brother, Charles, were co-owners of Piner Brothers Electric from 1955 until their retirement in 1992.  He was a special man and icon in the Community.

He is survived by his daughters; Betty Lou Piner of the home and Linda P. Willis of Davis; step-son, Byron L. Styron and wife, Frances, of Indiana; brother, Burgess Piner, of Williston; grandson, Jason Willis and wife, Renae, of Davis and granddaughter, Linda Carol Gillikin and husband, Gene, of Otway; great-grandchildren; Alicia Fulcher, of Otway, Carleigh Willis and Corey Willis of Davis; step-grandchildren, Christie Wall and husband, Keith, of Harkers Island; Byron Styron, Jr. and wife, Teresa, of Greensboro; Mary Snider and husband, Steven, of Kentucky; Hannah Gunningham and husband, Matt, of Indiana; Jonathan Styron and wife, Amber, of Henderson; and David Styron and wife, Melody, of Indiana; step-great-grandchildren; Dallas Snider, Dillan Snider, Devyn Snider, Kayla Styron, Justin Styron, Luke Styron and Graham Gunningham; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Betty Davis Piner; daughter, Carol Sue Piner; parents, Leslie and Rena Piner; brothers, Edwin Piner and Charles Piner; and son-in-law, Carroll Willis.

He will greatly be missed by his family and friends.  His gentle and kind nature surely made him “one-of-a-kind”.  He will never be forgotten.

The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday at the church.
