Cleveland Hackworth

Cleveland “Ray” Hackworth, 73, of Harkers Island passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Carteret Health Care.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Refuge Fellowship Church with Pastor Manley B. Rose Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery with Military Honors.
Ray attended the Refugee Fellowship Church. He served our Country in the US Marine Corp. Ray retired operations manager of Canal Properties.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Fulford Hackworth of the home; one brother Cledis Clay Hackworth of Prestonsberg, KY; two sisters, Connie Poe and Bonnie Ward both of Prestonsberg, KY; one grandchild, Christian Blake Hackworth of Harrisburg, PA.
He was preceded in death by his son, Blake Hackworth; parents, Charles and Mable Owens Hackworth.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Church.
