Clayton Rudolph Cannon

Clayton Rudolph Cannon, 83, of Newport, passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 at Croatan Ridge Nursing Facility.
The family will have a service at a later date.
Clayton was a pilot for the Pepsi skydiving team back in the 1980's and early 90's. He was a general contractor and coordinated the construction of 276 US Post Offices all over the country. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, was past Grand Exalted Ruler, and scoutmaster for the Explorer Scouts.
He is survived by six children Suzanne Malin and husband Douglas of Grainger, IN, Robin Cannon and wife Bunny of Newport, Joel Cannon and wife Debbie of Newport, Greg Cannon of Newport, Matthew Cannon of Newport, and Daniel Rice of Newport; twelve grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
