Clara E. Taylor “Flip”, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the SECU Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport from dementia on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the age of 79.
Her graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 23rd, at Amariah Garner Cemetery in Newport.
Clara “Flip” was born June 25, 1945, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William “Pete” Fetter and Dorothy Hazlett Fetter.
Clara “Flip” will be remembered for her positive personality traits, warmth, caring, and strength. She dedicated her life to her family and was always there with a listening ear, warm embrace, food, and let’s not forget the Pepsi. Later in life, she always enjoyed her baby dolls, her cats, and shopping at the thrift stores.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Taylor, and his children, Danny and Denise; daughter, Annetta “Sissy” Willis and husband Ronnie “Craw Daddy”; sons, Wilbert “Webby” Hall and wife Patricia, and Randy Hall and wife Kim; sisters, Connie Gray, and Mary Hyde; brothers, Alfred Hazlett, and Thomas Fetter; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by the father of her children, Wilbert “Web” Hall; son, Donald P. Hall; sisters, Janet Marie Fetter and Audrey Mae Wainwright; brothers, John, E. Fetter, Charles A. Fetter and Robert D. Fetter; and great-great-grandson Oliver L. LeBlanc.
