Christopher Lane McCabe, 42, of Richmond, VA, died Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Henrico Doctor's Hospital.
Private services will be held.
Chris grew up in Carteret County and also Houston, TX and attended Johnson and Wales Culinary School in Charleston, SC. He was a wonderful husband, daddy, and son. He loved surfing, playing disc golf, and photography. He was quite a talented artist and chef. All who knew him loved him and will truly miss him.
He is survived by his wife Charlie McCabe of the home; two daughters Tabitha Powell and Kaila Powell; mother and step-father Shelia and Charlie Morgan of Atlantic Beach; father and step-mother Curtis and Deborah McCabe of Seguin, TX; two sisters Meredith McCabe of Beaufort, and Stephanie McCabe of Seguine, TX; and one brother Ryan McCabe of Houston.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 930-B Wellness Dr. Greenville, NC 27834 or American Heart Association Memorial Processing Center PO Box 5216 Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
