Christopher "Chris" Butler, 29, of Greenville, died Friday, October 17, 2014.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday October 23, 2014 at Carteret Memorial Gardens. A memorial service conducted by the family will follow at 12:00 noon at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. David Bruce officiating.
Chris was employed by Convergys in Greenville as an educational trainer.
He is survived by his mother, Paula Butler of Beaufort; sister, Emily McGregor and husband Jon of Beaufort; maternal grandmother, Agatha Merrell of Beaufort; maternal uncle, George Merrell; god-son, Ethan Self of Greenville; also many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Leon Butler, maternal grandfather, George Dewey Merrell, Jr., and paternal grandparents, Jesse Mae Butler and Cassie Thornton Butler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Chris may be made to Loaves and Fishes of Beaufort, 119 Bunch Rd, Beaufort, NC 28516.
