Christine Peele Johnson

Christine Peele Johnson, 86, of Cape Carteret, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Autumnfield of Belhaven.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Peletier Baptist Church with the Pastor Kenneth Saleeby officiating. Interment will follow at the Peletier Baptist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson loved being around people, gardening and her beautiful flowers.
She is survived by her daughter Deborah R. Osborne and her fiancé Ron Cochran of Belhaven; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd C. “Slim” Johnson; daughters, Annette Johnson and Patricia Diane Edwards; son, Lynn Curtis Johnson; parents, Merritt and Sally Pearson Peele; sisters, Geneva Gibson, Dot Adams and Jean Walters; and brothers, Howard Peele, Pete Peele, and Bob Peele.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home, Morehead City.
