Christine Ann Boné

Christine Ann Boné, 69, of Havelock, passed away July 2, 2021, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

She was born on June 23, 1952, to the late John Edward Bolek and Marie Bolek Walters of Purchase, New York.

Chris (the name she preferred) was the firm, yet loving source of care and comfort for her three boys, raising them and handling head of household chores while her husband was tending to his duties in the Marine Corps. She managed all that, plus held down part time jobs in sales, inventory, and management occupations up until 1990.  Her cooking skills were the envy of all who sat at her table and she rightfully earned the title of “Marine Corps spouse” – never a “dependent.”

She loved her husband, three sons and her Boxer dogs (often not necessarily in that order).

She is survived by her husband, 1st Sgt Thomas Boné, USMC (ret.); two sons, John of Carolina Pines, and Randy and wife Trish of Vanceboro; three grandchildren, Naomi, Sara, and Austin; and an extended family of grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her son Eddie, who passed away in 2014.

In lieu of flowers donations are encouraged to the City of Havelock Fire and Rescue Department.
