Christeen was born on May 4, 1937, in Vanceboro, North Carolina, to the late William and Molly Wilson. She grew up in New Bern and later moved to Morehead City when she married her late husband, Alfred E. Ebron Sr.
Ms. Ebron worked at the Shirt Factory in Morehead City for many years and later went to Marine Corps Air Station at Cherry Point. She was proud of her role as the first woman shop foreman and the first woman Quarter person at the base. Ms. Ebron retired after 28 years of faithful service.
Working in the yard was something she thoroughly enjoyed and was diligent to do each day. Her family meant everything to her, and she valued each of them dearly. Her love for the Lord was evident in her life and she enjoyed her home church, First Free Will Baptist Church of Morehead City.
She is survived by her son, Alfred E. Ebron Jr. and wife Roxanne of Cedar Point; granddaughter, Monica R. Williams and husband Tyler of Cary; sisters, Lillie Nobles of New Bern, Ruby Lee Stilley of Arizona, and Sally Wilson of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Earl Ebron Sr.; daughter, Vickie E. McLawhorn; son-in-law, Edward McLawhorn; sisters, Beatrice Avery and Hazel Marie Willis; and brother, Earl Lee Wilson.
