Christa Rogers Flynt

Christa Mae Flynt, 83, of Morehead City, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 at Carteret Health Care.

Her graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro, NC.

Christa was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She started her work life as a seamstress and interior decorator in the family business. After that, she had a long career as a dispatcher in law enforcement with the Morehead City Police Department and later retired from the Department of Marine Fisheries.

She is survived by her daughter, Violet Mae Josey and husband, Ronnie, of Bartow, GA; son, Philip Flynt and wife, Debra of High Point; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Flynt; parents, Elton Rogers and Viola Rogers Brown; and sons, Danny Lee Flynt, Stanley Allen Flynt, and Glen Allen Flynt.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.
