Chris Scott Adamson, 38, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

A graveside service to honor Chris’ life will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 27th at Coastal Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, officiated by Rev. Aaron Golden.

Chris, born on May 16, 1986, in McMinnville, Oregon, was a beloved son to Scott and Tierney Adamson. 

Chris honorably served in the United States Marine Corps for five years, displaying his commitment to his country. Following his time in the Marines he pursued his passion for cooking by attending the Crystal Coast College for Culinary Arts. He enjoyed working in the cafeteria at the Carteret County School System as well as being a Teacher’s Assistant.

In addition to his culinary skills, Chris had a knack for woodworking and an eye for creativity, which he showcased through various projects. He was always interested in handyman projects which were lovingly referred to by his family as “experiments”. 

Chris had a vibrant personality, always eager to bring joy to those around him. His fun-loving nature and sense of humor made him a cherished jokester among friends and family.

Chris was a loving husband of 15 years and a wonderful father to his boys. He will be remembered for his warmth, creativity, and the laughter he brought to the lives of so many. 

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Faith Adamson; sons, Avery, Blake, and Caleb Adamson, all of the home; parents, Scott and Tierney Adamson of Rio Rancho, NM; sisters, Emily Adamson, Cherrish Adamson, Areli Adamson, and Jessica Geraldine; brothers, Corey Adamson, Roel Adamson, Jason Gettman, Scotty Adamson, Kenny Adamson, Azariah Adamson, Estevan Adamson, Anthony Adamson, Roys Adamson, and Justin Christensen; and his furry friends, his dog, Silvia and cats, Zeus, Mae, and Pete.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.

Family and friends are welcome to submit online condolences.
