Cherie "Memaw" Morris Daniels

Cherie “Memaw” Morris Daniels, 64, of Morehead City, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019 at her home.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Munden Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Gene Daniels officiating.

She worked for civil service for 32 years with Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, retiring in 2009 as a Contract Officer. She was a born caregiver for not just her children and grandchildren but others and earned the name “Memaw”.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Raymond D. Daniels of the home; daughter, Heather Clemenic of Morehead City; son, Matt Daniels and wife Tracy of New Bern; father, Richard Morris and wife Pat of Clemmons ; sisters, Wendy Morris Tibbs and husband Bobby and Melanie Morris Tibbs and husband Greg all of Newton; brother, Gene Morris and wife Susan of Maiden; three grandchildren, Hannah Clemenic, Jace Edwards, and Owen Daniels; and several loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Morris.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.
