Charlie “Pete” Fredrick Jones, 71, of Beaufort, passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at Carteret Health Care.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Refuge Fellowship Church on Harkers Island, officiated by Pastor Manley B. Rose, Jr. Interment will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery.

If you knew Pete, you knew that singing and playing the guitar was his passion. He put a smile on many faces with his songs and special tunes.

He is survived by his wife, Ann, of the home; daughters, Angelia Lawrence and husband, Makley, of Harkers Island, Dawn Willis and fiancé, Jeffery Rose, Jr., of Beaufort, and Delta Jones of Beaufort; sister, Susie Nelson of Harkers Island; brother, Mack Lee Jones of Beaufort; grandchildren, Staci Lewis, Austin Piner, Kayla Piner, Juliann DeOliveira, Savannah Willis, Ashton Willis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Pauline Jones; daughter, Shawn Marie Jones; sister, Paulette Guthrie; and brother, James Barrett Jones.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Refuge Fellowship Church on Harkers Island.
