Charles "Rick" Richard Williams

Charles "Rick" Richard Williams, 70, of Havelock, NC, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern, NC.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 28, 2017, at the First Baptist church of Havelock with Dr. Don Hadley officiating.
Rick was born in Birmingham, AL, on Oct. 9, 1946 and served in the US Marine Corps from 1967 to 1987. He graduated from East Carolina University in 1989. He has been a city employee, a teacher, and most recently worked for Northrop Grumman until his retirement in 2012. His favorite titles however, have been “Ricky, Dad, and Pa” and his most treasured possession was his family.
He is survived by his wife Gail Williams of the home; his daughter, Tammy Lovett and son-in-law Mike of Woodbridge, VA; his son, Todd Williams and daughter-in-law Christy of Frederick, MD; grandchildren, Richard (Richie) Lovett and spouse Courtney, Robbie Lovett, and Nathan Williams; great-grandchild, Mali Lovett; brother, Jack Williams of Vestavia Hills, AL, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at the First Baptist church of Havelock.
Flowers are welcome, or in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church at 111 Hollywood Blvd, Havelock, NC, 28532.
