Charles "Chuck" Holmes Jr.

Charles "Chuck" Holmes Jr., 71, of Apex and Emerald Isle, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Crystal Coast Hospice House.

A celebration of Chuck's life will be held at a later date.

Charles, known to his all as "Chuck" was born on November 30, 1951, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, to the late Charles and Mattie Holmes. His skilled and precise work in the Automotive Plastics Industry led him to Chihuahua City, Mexico where he worked for 41 years at Fawn Plastics and later at Key Plastics. Upon retirement, he kept homes in both Apex and Emerald Isle where he loved to fish at Bogue Pier.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Rebecca Hayden Holmes; daughters, Shannon Wallace Smith (Steve) of Cherry Hill, NJ and Lisa Holmes Davis (Jon) of Apex; sons, Brandon Holmes of Raleigh, NC and Hayden Holmes of Houston, TX; brother, Marty Holmes of Blythewood, SC; and grandchildren, Hanna Smith and Shane Smith, both of Cherry Hill, NJ and Olivia Davis and MacKenzie Davis, both of Apex, NC.
