Charles "Captain Charlie Brown" Holland Brown, 52, of Straits, died Thursday February 21, 2013, at his home with family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday at Davis First Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Renfrow officiating.
Charles main occupation was a barge tanker-man pushing fuel products up and down the eastern and gulf coast seaboards. His favorite passion was hunting and fishing and performing as an guide as the owner and operator of Old Core Sound Guide Service. He loved the water and loved to fish. He enjoyed putting smiles on the faces of those he took fishing. He added color to peoples lives at the drop of a hat.
He is survived by his wife Sandy Brown of Straits: two sons Michael Brown of Tusk, and Robby McGee of Straits: a daughter Gina McGee Behan and husband Patrick of Atlantic: father Charles Ray Brown and wife Carolyn of Newport: two brothers Robert Brown and wife Silvia of Lexington Park, MD, and Kyle Brown and wife Anna of Cedar Island: a sister Rebecca Goodwin and husband Jimmie of Cedar Island: and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Sara Willis Brown.
