Charles M. Wolf Jr., 79, of Cape Carteret, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Carteret Health Care.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., on Thursday, April 17th at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City, NC.
Born on June 10, 1945, in Acushnet, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Charles and Daisy Wolf. Charlie grew up in and spent most of his life in Rochester, MA and graduated from New Bedford Vocation Technical High School where he studied drafting.
Charles began his career at General Dynamics in Quincy, MA where he worked on George Washington Ballistic Missile Submarines. He later worked at Dunnington Drug in the Facilities Construction and Management Department and finally for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as Buildings and Facilities Manager.
From a young age he had a love for woodworking which grew and continued throughout his life. His skills, which were taught to him by his father, provided him with the knowledge to build two beautiful homes on the land he grew up on.
Charlie spent his last years in the sparkling beauty of the Crystal Coast of North Carolina with his close companion, Enid Peoples. He was a member of the Crystal Coast Republican Men’s Club and enjoyed fine woodworking and spending time with friends and family and his dogs, Katie and George.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his daughter, Michelle Berry and husband Christian of Pembroke, MA; grandsons, Trevor Berry and Spencer Berry, both of Pembroke, MA, and Evan Wolf and Nathan Wolf of Plymouth, MA; nephew, John Gagne; niece, Jennifer Gagne; and close companion, Enid Peoples.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Bert; brother, Elroy Wolf; and son, Christopher Wolf.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carteret County Humane Society, 853 Hibbs Rd., Newport, NC 28570.
