Charles “Man” Manly Willis, Jr., 55, of Williston, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Zentralklinik in Bad Berka, Germany while seeking medical treatment.
His Funeral Service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Harkers Island with President Kevin Nelson presiding and Brother Robert Hill officiating. Interment will follow at the Vergie Mae Cemetery.
“Man” was born August 21st, 1962 in Morehead City to Charles Manly and Deanna Willis. He was a graduate of East Carteret High School class of 1980. He was employed as a plumber with Piner Brothers plumbing for over 20 years and he was currently employed at FRC East Cherry Point as a pipefitter. Man was a hard worker. He enjoyed his family and being out on his boat in Jarrett Bay.
He is survived by his wife, Tessie Scott Willis of the home; daughters, Amy Willis Taylor and husband Charles of Atlantic, Kathleen Brianne Willis of the home, son; Charles Jared Willis and wife Melanie of Havelock; grandchildren; Landon, Mason, and Logan Taylor, Jailyn and Haileigh Willis; parents; Charles Manly and Deanna Willis; sisters; Karen Willis Piner and husband Chris of Williston, Nicole Willis Piner and husband Mark of Davis; aunts, Nola Hancock, Melvina Willis, Laraine Gillikin, Eileen Lewis, Terry Futreal; father-in-law and mother-in-law; Milton and Debbie Scott, mother-in-law; Rosemary Perry; sister-in-law; Angela Scott; nieces, Emily Hardy, Ashlyn Goodwin, Katlyn Lewis, Justine Piner, Amanda Leffers, Chelsey Adkins, many great-nieces and nephews; and his many cousins, and his loving dog, COCO.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louie and Mary Willis and Cletus and Nettie Rose.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
