Charles "Charlie" Thomas Turner II, 46, of Morehead City, NC, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service to honor Charlie's life will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 10th at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park in Newport. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through his obituary page on Munden Funeral Home's website. The service will remain on the Funeral Home website for 90 days.
Charlie was born on November 12, 1977, in New Bern, NC. His love for life was evident in everything he did. He was a thrill-seeker, spreading good vibes wherever he went. Whether riding the waves, shredding on a skateboard, or flying on rollerblades, he loved the thrill and adrenaline of each.
Charlie found his true calling in the culinary arts, becoming a skilled chef. His talent in the kitchen brought smiles to countless faces with his delicious creations. His dedication and creativity as a chef will always be remembered.
Charlie will be remembered as a loving son, and supportive brother, who loved his family dearly.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his father, Charles Thomas Turner of Morehead City; mother, Lillie Riley (Joe) of Morehead City; sister, Cori Herring (Mike) of Newport; step-sister, Kim Riley of Wilmington; nephews, Dylan Nielson and Bradyn Nielson; and loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to a local charity of one's choice.
