Charles "Charlie" Todd Jr.

Charles "Charlie" Todd, Jr., 58, of Newport, died Friday, May 10, 2013 at his home.
The family will conduct a Celebration of Life service at 5:00 pm Thursday at Newport Little League Field on Howard Blvd.
Mr. Todd retired as a Chief Petty Officer from the U.S. Coast Guard after 20 years of service. He coached Newport Little League and Babe Ruth,and was an avid Carolina and Red Sox Fan.
He is survived by his wife, Dianna "Di" Todd of the home; three sons, Michael Todd of Oklahoma, Christopher Todd of Leland, and Patrick Todd of the home; two daughters, Melissa Martin of Newport and Laura Malone of Bogue; step-father, George Schadt ; brother, Donald Todd; sister, Tracy Newell all of Castle Hayne; also 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Schadt; father, Charles D. Todd, Sr, and mother-in-law, Fran Yost.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Newport Little League, 804 Garner Dr., Newport, NC 28570.
