Charles “David” Spivey, 73, of Broad Creek, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Carteret Health Care.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home from 6:00- 8:00 pm.
David served in the United States Coast Guard, and retired from Civil Service after 25 years of service.
He is survived by his companion, Gloria DeMurry; daughter, Dawn Thompson of Newport; sons, William Keith Spivey and Charles Michael Spivey of Newport; sister, Virginia Cannon and husband Roy Cannon of Newport; and 8 grandchildren, Allen, Ashley, Mikey, Haylie, Blake, Megan, Daxton, and Caitlyn.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Lunnette Spivey; and grandchild, Rylee.
