Charles C. Smith

Charles C. Smith, 75, of Cove City, formerly of Beaufort, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Carolina East Medical Center.
The family will conduct a memorial service 2:00 pm Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Ann Street United Methodist Church.
Charles served 38 years as a United Methodist Minister in Eastern, N.C.. He had a passionate love for the Lord and his family. Charles served many years in the Coastal Carolina Emmaus Community leading others to a deepening love of God through the Walk to Emmaus experience until his health started failing.
He is survived by his wife, Jill Smith of the home, daughter, Kathy McVey of New Bern; son, Chuck Smith and wife Michelle of Riegelwood; five grandchildren, Andrea Smith, Sara Jayne Warren and husband Kyle, Nicholas McVey, and Amy Jo Allison and husband John, and Sabrina Leonard; three great-grandchildren, Shawn, Jackson, and Tysor; also several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lance and Allie Smith, and his brother, Ronnie Lake Smith.
In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Ann Street United Methodist Church Building Fund, where many saints nurtured Charles in the Christian faith.
