Charles Oliver Adams “Charlene”, 38, of Jacksonville, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center after battling COVID 19.
Charles, or “Charlene” as she was more commonly known, was born on October 11, 1982, in Fort Smith Arkansas. She was a 2000 graduate of White Oak High School and worked in the private field of caregiving most of her life. Charlene’s artsy and creative side were displayed by her talented makeup and hair styles which she always enjoyed doing. As a social butterfly, Charlene loved highlighting every occasion and was gifted at making friends and family feel special about themselves.
Charlene's survivors include her mother, Charlotte Adams of Willoughby Hills, Ohio; sister, Carrie Schmidt and companion Michael Lindquist of Newport and Carrie’s children, Elizabeth and Christopher; brother, David Cagle and wife Jessica of Boston, MA, and their daughter, Ruby Cagle; brother, Dale Rought and wife Angie of Willoughby Hills, OH and their children, Lillie, Angel, Destiny, Thomas, Sean; and childhood friend, Marie Heward of Richlands.
She was preceded in death by her father in 2017, John O. Adams; and cousins, Patrick Huffstetler in 2012 and Oscar Peña in 2009.
