Charlene Fishel, 51, of Stella, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020, at Carteret Health Care.

Her memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at Glad Tidings Church in Morehead City, officiated by Rev. Tim Marriner. Friends are welcome to attend the service. In keeping with the CDC guidelines pertaining to the Coronavirus, those who are ill or at-risk (elderly, immune-compromised) are encouraged to stay home. Additionally, those who attend will be asked to bring and wear a protective mask. Help us honor the family while practicing safe measures. Friends are also encouraged to leave words of comfort to the family through the website.

Charlene was born on January 20, 1969, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to the late Frances Pinner and Donald Parrish. She later moved to the Crystal Coast and attended White Oak Church of God in Bogue. She was dedicated to her job at Kittrell Auto Parts where she worked faithfully for 30 years. If you knew Charlene, you knew of her love for the outdoors, she especially loved fishing, camping and being out on the boat. She was a huge racing and basketball fan and always enjoyed and the intensity of sports. Charlene took great pride in her truck and motorcycles and didn’t miss an opportunity to show them off. In her down time, she enjoyed the entertainment of watching Netflix.

She is survived by her daughter, Sara Fishel of Stella; sisters, Dede McDonald and Michael Grimes, both of Winston-Salem; brother, Charles Pinner of New Bern; stepfather, Thomas Pinner of New Bern; and father-in-law, Sidney Austin Fishel of Emerald Isle.
