Celestine (Nelson) Salter

Mrs. Celestine Nelson Salter, 88, of Davis, died Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Taylor Extended Care.
Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Davis First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Ed Renfrow and Rev. Rusty Willis. Interment will follow in the Salter Cemetery.
Mrs. Salter was a member of the First Baptist Church in Davis and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son, James Michael Salter and wife, Kay, of Beaufort; three granddaughters, Elaina S. Wilde, of Gloucester, Tina Lane Salter and Fiance Sean of Williston, and Georgiana Saulmon and husband, Greg, of Davis; a step-granddaughter, Amy Noe and husband, Mike; a great granddaughter, Laney Nicole Salter; two step-great grandchildren, Joshua T. Noe and Sarah N. Rude; one brother, Raymond Lee Nelson and wife Treva, of Stacy; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Salter was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Salter and husband Norman Gillikin, her parents, Ralph and Myrtle Nelson, a sister, Legolda Nelson, and a brother, Monroe Nelson.
The family will receive friends Monday night from 6 until 8 at Davis First Baptist Church.
