Our dear Catherine Marchione lost her long battle with colon cancer on November 9th 2015.  I say “our” because she touched many people and is considered to be a part of many different families, locally and abroad.  Although Cathy never had any children of her own she was able to leave her mark on so many children, including her own brothers and sisters and countless others that knew her as their Aunt Ca-Tay-Tay.  Cathy helped raise our boys to be gentlemen and our girls to be ladies always making sure that they were up to date with the latest dance moves. Cathy was true to her favorite daily mantras, “Live your life” and “Live life to the fullest.”  She even held strong to those beliefs as she suffered daily from pain most of us cannot imagine, always making sure that she had her bronzer on and a dress that would impress.  Cathy knew that her purpose in life was to make people happy.  She always kept us laughing with her funny sayings and the way she spoke her own language that was a mixture of her native Filipino and English dialects. We will always treasure our times spent in the sun having fun, listening to music and spreading positive energy. Cathy’s favorite times were spent relaxing on the beach and cruising on the boat with friends. Cathy knew her time was short and putting her signature on this world as we know it was very important to her. Cathy’s beauty, grace, and love will never be forgotten.

Cat is survived by her family from California: Father: Veda Wahoff and wife, Jennifer; her sisters Carti Wahoff and CJ Jones, and brothers Prahlad and Michael Wahoff. Her family from Va. Beach; Sisters, Gwen and Jen Marchione, Brothers, Ralph, Steve, Marni and Rodney

Cat's Atlantic Beach Family: her best friend, lover and her strength, Preston Lea. Last but definitely not least her yellow lab Kaya Grace Lea. A celebration of Cat's life is being planned for Saturday, November 28th. As you all know Cat loved to cook and eat good food so what better way to celebrate her with a Thanksgiving feast!
