Catherine was born on October 12, 1927, in Queens, New York, to the late Richard and Frances Cooke. She was a beloved member of Annunciation Catholic Church and found joy and community as part of the Carolina Pines Home and Garden Club and as a member of the Red Hat Society. Married to the love of her life for over 63 years, she cherished the memories shared with her beloved Ted.
Catherine’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, whether bowling, golfing, traveling together, or enjoying quality time filled with laughter and love. A stylish and elegant woman, Catherine had an impeccable sense of fashion. She adored shopping and had a special talent for finding the best bargains. She was always beautifully dressed, a true picture of class and poise, admired for her refined taste and joyful spirit. Her presence lit up every room and she will be dearly missed.
Those left to treasure her memory are her daughter, Patricia “Patty” Stegemann (Curt) of New Bern, NC; son, Thomas “Tommy” Dusselberg (Annette) of New Bern, NC; grandchild, James Stegemann (Meagan); and twin great-grandchildren, Peyton and Madison Stegemann.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore “Ted” Dusselberg; and brothers, Richard and Rene Cooke.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Annunciation Catholic School, 246 E. Main Street, Havelock, NC 28532.
