Carrie (Schmid) Styron

Carrie Schmid Styron, 91, of Morehead City, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Harborview Health Care Center.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Nate Leonard officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Carrie enjoyed being a nurse's assistant at Carteret General Hospital for over twenty years. Some of Carrie's best years were spent living at Ekklesia. She will be missed by all but remembered for her loving independent spirit.
She is survived by four sons William Styron and wife Jamie of Wilmington, David Styron and wife Lisa of Newport, Larry Styron and wife Sylvie of Newport, and Alan Styron and wife Mardi of Beaufort; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
