Carolyn Penny Villa

Carolyn Penny Villa, 59, of Beaufort, passed away Thursday, June 18­, 2020, at her home.

A memorial service for Carolyn will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2020, at the First Apostolic Church of Morehead City, officiated by Pastor Todd White.

Carolyn was born and raised in her beloved Carteret County where she spent her entire life. She was a determined woman who will be remembered for her strong fighting spirit. She always said, “You play with the cards you’re dealt” and she lived that out through her strength and perseverance which were characteristics that defined her personality. As a devoted member of First Apostolic Church of Morehead City, she lived her life as an example to others. Carolyn will be remembered as a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt that will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Shanna Marie Chadwick of Beaufort, Jenia Holtz of Havelock; son, Daniel William Chadwick of Stacey; sisters, Cathy Forrester of Beaufort, Annette Poole of Havelock and Jeanette Allen and husband Rusty of Newport; grandchildren, Briana Godette and husband Da’Von, Austin Chadwick, Cadance Jacobs, Kristen Fulcher, Nicholas Fulcher, Katie Holtz, Willow Chadwick and Kymbyrlee Chadwick; great-grandchildren, Khaloni Godette, Kaislyn Godette, Na’Leiah Godette and Ezekiah Godette; and many loving church family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine Fields Penny and Willie “Bill” Penny; sister, Tammy Bell; and brother, Ray Penny.
