Carolyn Ann Beasley Johnson, 71, of Havelock, passed away on July 22, 2016 at Carolina East Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 189 Howard Blvd., Newport with Rev. Crawford officiating.

Carolyn served others as a Licensed Practicing Nurse for 40 years.  Before retiring, her most recent position was with the New Bern Urology Clinic with satellite offices in Havelock and Jacksonville.  She gave back to the community by partnering with her husband in organizations such as Havelock Cherry Point Rotary, National Active and Retired Federal Employee Association and the Boys and Gils Club of Coastal Carolina.  She will be remembered most for cooking her special German chocolate cake and the love she showed her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Nathaniel “Nate” Johnson; her son, Aarron Nathaniel Johnson; her daughter, Cicely Eugenia Kracoe and husband Geoffrey; grandchildren, Kelley Nikia Johnson, Iris Ashley Chadwick, Destiney Takiema Ayaunna Johnson, D’Asia Kha-Jai Ar-Moni Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Kaleb Emmanuel Johnson Henderson, Joshua Brent Parrish Jr., and Kayleigh Janaye Chadwick.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Esnold Beasley.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations in honor of Mrs. Johnson be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Coastal Carolina, 199 Webb Blvd., Havelock, NC 28532.

The family will welcome friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, July 29, 2016 at the Munden Funeral Home & Cremations Chapel in Havelock.
