Carolyn Jean Guthrie, 70, of Beaufort, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at home.
Carolyn worked at Fulcher’s Seafood on Harkers Island for 28 years. She was married to her loving husband, Paul, for 52 years. Among her many passions in life, she loved to clam and set nets with Paul.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Refuge Fellowship church on Harkers Island at 1 p.m. Pastor B. Manley Rose, Jr. will officiate.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Timothy Guthrie of Beaufort; daughter, Paula Jean Culpepper and husband Otis of Beaufort; sister, Mary Frances Herron of Sanford; grandchildren, Natasha Guthrie and Michael Guthrie of Beaufort; great-grandchildren, Ayden Davis Norman and Jaxson Alton West of Beaufort.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar Jennings Miller; mother, Betty Mae Davis; husband, Richard Paul Guthrie; and her daughter-in-law, Stephanie Guthrie.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will follow at Vergie Mae on Harkers Island.
The family will be receiving friend’s other times at her daughter’s residence at 559 Crow Hill Road Beaufort, NC 28516
