Carolyn Rita (Neitzel) Gutt

Carolyn Rita Gutt, 74, of Cedar Point, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Vidant Medical Center.

Her memorial service will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at the VFW in Cedar Point.

Carolyn was a beautiful person both inside and out. Her love of travel and family vacations were always a highlight of her life. She especially enjoyed going on cruises with her sisters where she could relax, see new sites and have fun with family. Living close to the beach was perfect for Carolyn, she could often be found sitting by the water, reading one of her favorite books. Her creativity was evident in arts and crafts. Carolyn’s culinary skills were much appreciated by her friends and family where she could extend her love to others through cooking and baking. She also filled her time with listening to beach music, dancing, playing games and planning events. Carolyn had a special place in her heart for the VFW Auxiliary of Cedar Point where she enjoyed fellowshipping with others. Carolyn was a light to those around her, she lived life to the fullest and she will be greatly missed.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Heidi Mills of Clayton, Joy Ducker of Greensboro, Jolene Warych and husband, Ken of Youngsville; sisters, Donna Pauly of Geneva, IL, Linda Jenkins and husband, Tom of Salem, OR; grandchildren, Courtney, Matthew, Caroline, Gracie, Grayson, Ashley; great-grandchild, James.

She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Julia Neitzel; husband, Ron Gutt; daughter, Veronica Estes; son, Vincent Gutt.
