Carolyn Jane (Gillikin) Guthrie

Carolyn Jane Guthrie, 77, of Otway, died Tuesday, July 2, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center of an unexpected illness.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Monday at Martha Louise Family Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years Stacy D. Guthrie of the home; two sons Ricky D. Guthrie and wife Connie of Wilmington, NC, and Jerry Allen Guthrie and wife Elizabeth of Otway, NC; nine grandchildren Ricky Guthrie, Jr. of Otway, Adam Guthrie of Otway, Matthew Guthrie of Morehead City, Melissa Salter of Otway, Sylvia Guthrie of Otway, Sarah Guthrie of Otway, Jerry Guthrie, Jr., of Otway, Jennifer Robbins of Georgia, and Tyler Collins of Otway; nine great grandchildren Nathaniel, Katherine, Miranda, Samantha, Mya, Jacob, Zack, Ryan, and Danaka; a sister Virginia Lawrence and husband Jamie of Otway; and a brother Jackie Gillikin and wife Loraine of Otway.
She was preceded in death by her parents Julian and Gracie Gillikin, and a brother Sidney Gillikin.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday at Munden Funeral Home.
