Carolyn Giaimo
July 23, 1935 — July 15, 2016
Carolyn Oglesby Giaimo, 80, of Atlantic Beach, passed away Friday, July 15, 2016 at Vidant Heathcare in Greenville surrounded by family. She is now resting in our heavenly Fathers arms.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, July 22, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City with Rev. James Chadwick officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery.
Carolyn was born and raised in the Promise Land of Morehead City. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Maria Giaimo Taylor and Connie Giaimo Shelton and fiancé Randy Kilgore; grandchildren, Sophia Johnson and husband Chris and William Shelton III; brothers, Edwin Oglesby and Daniel Oglesby; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty four years, Joseph Vincent Giaimo; parents, Edwin and Dorothy Oglesby; sisters, Garnetta Gent, Marcy Lewis and Barbara Ann Hartness; and niece Nancy Gent Burt.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834 or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
The family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.
