Caroline Fox, 54, of Morehead City, died Monday, April 30, 2012 at her home.
A celebration of life will be held 3:00 pm Sunday May 20, 2012 at Glad Tidings Church in Morehead City.
Mrs. Caroline has continued in her giving spirit by donating her body to science at UNC Chapel Hill. She planted many seeds for Christ in many walks of lifeand through her battle with cancer. She was a friend of many different types of people.
She owned and operated the Unique Boutique. She was a member of Glad Tidings Church for over 20 years, the Carteret County Chamber of Commerce, the Over 50 Club, the New Bern Singles Dance Group, and an active participant with the Carteret County Relay for Life.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Fitzgerald and wife Peggy of Princeton; mother, Eunice E. Lassiter of Asheville; three grandchildren, Justin Fitzgerald, Ashlee Fitzgerald, and Brennen Fitzgerald all of Princeton; fiance and caregiver, James Earl Morton, Jr. of Morehead City; two brothers, David Demi-Smith of Colorado Springs, CO and Joseph Lassiter of Asheville; sister, Kennie Kennard of Houston, TX; lots of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and her special dog, Marley.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Hollowell Smith.
