Carol Ann (Wilson) McVitty

Carol Ann Wilson McVitty, 79, of Pine Knoll Shores, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
The family will conduct a memorial service at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 30, 2016 at St. Francis by the Sea Episcopal Church in Salter Path with the Reverend L. Everett Thomas, D. Min., Ph. D officiating.
Carol was an active member of St. Francis by the Sea Episcopal Church and the church choir. She was also an active member of the Pine Knoll Shores Gardening Club, Bridge Club, and Book Club, and she volunteered for the Carteret County Literacy Council.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald McVitty of the home; her children, Boyd McVitty and wife Jennifer of Laurel, MD, Dorene Snyder and husband, Sheppard of Burtonsville, MD, and Glen McVitty of Pine Knoll Shores; also five grandchildren, Marie, Brett, Kevin, Danielle, and Colleen; and 5 great-grandchildren.
