Carmen Lee Koonce, 66, of Harkers Island, died Monday, March 10, 2014 at her home.
A funeral service will be held 6:00 pm Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Branch officiating. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Greenleaf Memorial Park, New Bern NC.
Carmen was a cook at Seaside Restaurant on Harkers Island.
She is survived by a daughter Stephanie Branch of Smithfield; sons Peter R. Lewis of Moyock, and Thomas Lewis of Otway; stepchildren Linda, Glen, and Donald; five grandchildren; five step grandchildren ;eight great step grandchildren ;one brother Reginald Byron Lewis of Fayetteville; and her mother Madeline Lewis of Harkers Island.
She was preceded in death by her husband Woodley Koonce, Jr., her father Reginald Lewis, and sister Melody Salter.
Visitation will follow the funeral service.
