Carla McAlister

Carla McAlister, 59, of Crab Point, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at her home.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.

Carla worked as a nurse for over 30 years, and she was an avid artist.

She is survived by her son, Jason Haye and companion, Patience Morris, of Newport; father, Carl Middlebrooks of Georgia; sister, Nan M. Laughton and husband, David Vogel, of Raleigh; nephews, Jeremy Laughton and Brett Laughton both of Raleigh; and her loving companion and protector Merlin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mac McAlister and her mother, Alberta Middlebrooks.
