Carl “Gpa” Bass, 82, passed away on 9/10/14 following a lengthy bout with dementia.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 Monday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Garlton George officiating. Interment will be 12:00 pm at Coastal Carolina Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Carl, was a local contractor, he loved to fish, build doll houses and model cars, and spend time with his grandchildren. He was a Mason and a member of Sudan Temple, and also Shrine Van Patrol. He will truly be missed.
He survived by his wife of 48 years Barbara and 8 children: Tami Thomas, Troy Johnson, Teri Ussery and husband Mike, Toni Guthrie and husband Myron, Brian Bass and wife Krista, Jamie Bass and wife Danielle, DeeDee Bass Burdette, and Chip Bass. Grandchildren: Joey Cooper and Heather Mosley, Celeste Galizia and Daniel Rogers, Madeline Johnson, Miranda Guthrie, Tyler and Bryan Ussery, Keelie, Dawson, and Tolson Bass, Cameron, Riley, and Regan Bass, Christian, Paul, and Jovie Burdette, Bayley and Davis Bass. Great Grandchildren: J.J, Aidan, and Taylor Cooper, Lamar Teel, Aiden and Jamerson Rogers.
