Caretta Emmerline (Rhue) Hardy

Caretta Rhue Hardy, 85, of South River, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 at her home with family.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday at Edwards Chapel in South River with Rev. Francis Garner officiating. Interment will follow at Hardy Family Cemetery.
Caretta was a lifetime member of Edwards Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who loved sewing, cooking, and working outside in her yard.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Pittman of South River; a son Bruce Hardy and wife Kathy of South River; three grandchildren Lori Shadday and husband Marvin, Paul Pittman and wife Ashley, and Lem Hardy; six great grandchildren Christopher Perri and wife Stephanie, Mallory Gilvin and husband Nick, Emily Shadday, Trey Pittman, Tanner Mills, and Emma Pittman; and a sister Evelyn Rhue.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lem Hardy, Jr., parents Manley and Betty Rhue, son-in-law Larry Pittman, brothers Robert Rhue, and Linwood Rhue, and sisters Elizabeth Townsend, and Mabel Johnson.
Visitation will follow the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
