Brunette Rice Luckham Sharpe born December 11, 1922 to Bonnie Rice and Sarah Dail Rice in Morehead City, died after a long stay at Harborview Health Center.
Preceded in death by parents; brother, Roy Rice; Marie Rice McElmon and son Joseph Sharpe all of Morehead City.
She is survived by brothers : Gregory Rice and Robert Rice (Hyacinth) of Morehead City, sister Mary Ellen Rice of Morehead City: daughters Ruth Luckham Simpson (Butch) of Asheboro, NC, Leisha Sharpe Mace (Kenny) of Washington, NC, and Kelly Sharpe of Morehead City, NC: a son John Sharpe (BJ) of San Antonio, TX: grandchildren Kate Simpson Doherty (Tom) of Raleigh, NC, Candace Sharpe of Asheville, NC, Chandler Sharpe (Jaime) of Forest, VA, Chelsea Sharpe of Morehead City, NC, Joshua Mace (Erin) of Roxsboro, NC, Sophia Sharpe of San Antonio, TX, and Thomas Sharpe of San Antonio, TX: great grandchildren Sarah Kate, Amanda and Jacob Doherty of Raleigh, NC, Abram and Ainslee Sharpe of Morehead City, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Clemmon Sharpe.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Monday at Bayview Cemetery.
