Bruce Leon Parker

Bruce Leon Parker, 64, of Goldsboro, passed away on the morning of Sunday, April 3, 2011 after an extended illness.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Bruce will be held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Trenton Missionary Baptist Church, Trenton, NC. Following the memorial service, graveside services will be concluded at the Trenton Cemetery.

Bruce was born July 27, 1946 in Trenton, NC. He is the son of the late Benjamin L. Parker, Sr. and Ruby Smith Parker. A brother, Donald R. Parker, preceded him in death. Bruce is survived by a sister, Bobbie Parker of Trenton, a brother, Benjamin L. Parker, Jr. of Wendell, brother, Michael A. Parker of Morehead City; and uncle and aunt, Les and Pat Parker of Trenton.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.
