Bruce Wayne Babbitt

Bruce Wayne Babbitt, 77, of Davis, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at Harborview Health Care Center.
A memorial service will be conducted at Davis Free Will Baptist Church, 279 Community Road of Davis on Wednesday July 29 at 2:00pm followed by visitation.
Bruce was born April 15, 1938 to Lester and Elsie Babbitt, who preceded him in death. His stepfather J.E. Horton also preceded him.
Bruce loved his family. He was an Army veteran and American Legion chaplain. He worked as a tugboat captain for over 20 years in New York.
Bruce is survived by a loving sister, Janet Kimbrough of Louisburg; 4 children, Cindy Johnson of Kinston, Tommy Hill of Atlantic, Warren Hill of Texas and Jeannie Owens of Beaufort; 7 grandchildren; nephews, Scott Kimbrough of Cary, Jason Kimbrough of Franklinton; and former spouse Nancy Babbitt of Beaufort.
