Brian Lean Chadwick

Brian Lean Chadwick, 64, of Marshallberg, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at ECU Health Medical Center.

A memorial service to honor Brian’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 30th at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Charles Tyler.

Brian was born on March 6, 1960, to the late Alton and Greta Chadwick. A lifelong resident of Carteret County, Brian held a deep pride for his down east roots and the beauty of the crystal coast.

From an early age, Brian loved being on the water, which led him to pursue a career as a commercial fisherman. In his free time, Brian spent countless hours fishing and oystering, anything to be on the water. His passion for seafood was evident in both his work and personal life, as it was his favorite meal.

Brian was known for his wonderful personality, which endeared him to everyone he met. He had a unique ability to make people feel right at home; he never met a stranger and always made everyone feel welcome.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Janet Chadwick; sister, Octavia Wilde of Otway, NC; and many loving nieces.
