Brett "BFG" Pearce

Brett “BFG” Pearce, 51, of Newport, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, at his home.

Brett, also affectionately known as Big Friendly Giant “BFG”, was born September 10, 1969, in Portsmouth, Virgina to William and Sharon Pearce. He worked at FRC East Cherry Point. He was a talented mechanic, and he loved his Mustang. He was a loving husband, father, brother, son, and a friend to all who knew him.

Brett is survived by his wife, Kimberly Pearce of the home; daughter, Shelby Pearce of the home; father, William Pearce; brother, Derek Pearce and wife Cherish of Suffolk, VA; sister-in-law, Angela Shaffer and husband Brian; nieces, Makayla Wills, Emma Wynn, and Lily Pearce; father and mother in-law, Michael and Betty Gaskins; and his dog, Bugsy.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Pearce.
